Fan, compressors, and blowers are used by various industries for ventilation and industrial process requirements.
These 3 devices generate a pressure increase in gas and have a corresponding flow capacity; All are differentiated by the method used to move the air, and by the system pressure, they must operate against.
Functioning/Operation:
- Fan: A mechanical/electro-mechanical device used to create airflow, and accommodate a large flow of air/gas to various parts of a building or other structures.
- Blower: The blowers can achieve much higher pressures than fans. It is used for moving gas with a moderate increase of pressure, as a more powerful fan.SYMBIOSIS Centrifugal Blowers offer the most reliable service for your application areas in terms of size, performance, and technology.
- Compressors: Compressors are mechanical devices. It is used to increase pressure in a variety of compressible gases, or fluids, the most common of these being air. Compressors pressurize gas or air usually through mechanical means like pistons.
Application:
- Fans are mostly used in the sectors of air conditioning, ventilation, and heating. Its main functions are to renew the indoor air replacing stale air with fresh air or increase air circulation for ventilation or cooling. Fans are widely used at homes as well as in industries.
- For the system which has resistance is higher than a fan, Blowers are used, and are also used to produce negative pressures for industrial vacuum systems. Centrifugal blowers are mainly used for combustion air supplies, drying systems and cooling, fluid bed aerators, air conveyor systems, dust control, etc.
- Compressors are being used across the industries to provide shop/instrument air; to power paint sprayers, air tools, and harsh blast equipment; to phase shift refrigerants for air conditioning and refrigeration, etc.
